I am a specialist in marketing applied science products. Currently, I work as a Product Specialist at PT Diagnos Laboratorium Utama, Tbk. (August 2023 - now) ; a company that provides diagnostic services. I’m responsible for mastering product knowledge, such as genetic (thalassemia, oncogenetic, predictive genetic, pharmacogenetic, pre-implantation genetic testing, etc.), molecular, and biochemical tests, as well as tests provided in the anatomical pathology laboratory (pap smear, liquid based cytology, etc.), providing training on product knowledge and product marketing to commercial teams (sales and marketing, customer service, partnerships, and relations), and operational teams. Apart from training the internal team, I also make product presentations to B2B customers (doctors or clinicians, communities) and B2C customers about our diagnostic services. I also develop new products (services, study target markets, evaluate sales results, create promotional materials, and determine commercial schemes as needed to help the sales team achieve their sales targets.

I also worked as a Sales Application Specialist at PT Biozatik Indonesia (February 2023 - August 2023), a distribution company for equipment and reagents for anatomical pathology laboratories. When I worked in this position, I was responsible for mastering product knowledge (histology, immunohistochemistry, cytology, and immunology), looking for new customers, maintaining good relationships with existing customers, and carrying out troubleshooting if there were problems in the field related to our products.

My other work experience is as Research and Development Staff at PT East West Seed Indonesia (June 2021 - August 2022). While in this position, I was responsible for developing more sensitive, accurate, and efficient plant disease detection protocols using various molecular methods (conventional PCR, multiplex PCR, LAMP PCR), culturing and identifying fungi and bacteria from symptomatic or infected plants using morphological analysis, molecular detection, and sequencing, as well as conducting joint research with research-related institutions needed to assist the product development process.

At the end of July 2024 I will start working at PT. Biogen Scientific, a distribution company for laboratory consumables and equipments for research and in vitro diagnostic field, at PT Biogen Scientific I will serve as a product specialist for Immunohistochemistry, which is a field involved in cancer detection and therapy.

I am also an enthusiast in the field of science communication through popular science content writing. I am developing a science blog (@pojokdna - pojokdna.com) which focuses on discussing basic molecular biology and popular science. I am trying to create content in language that is easier for ordinary people to understand and with an attractive design so that it will be easier and more enjoyable for the younger generation to study science in the future.
